The Laserjet 3300 Windows 8.1 x64 drivers are supplied through Windows Update as for Windows 7.
Hi,
It's not on the following list:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03168175
Hope Windows updates can find a generic driver for you to ptint otherwise it's time to buy a new printer.
Good luck.
The link above of supported printers has a link "If you do not see your LaserJet printer listed here, click here to see additional LaserJet printers supported in Windows 8" which leads to here, and this document does list the Laserjet 3110 as supported under Windows update.
Hi Gemini
I am not really sure what the problem was but it kinda worked.
I went out and bought my own pocket router for the internet with a subscription. Then what I did was connect the printer wirelessly to this mini router (pocket router). The apple devices and the android connected seamlessly really and had no issues but the windows laptop, I had to run the installation CD to get that connected.
I really appreciate all your assistance and really thank you so very much.
So much for relying on the "cloud" to keep things "forever". This firmware is not even 7 years old.
Very kind of you to post this! Thanks.
Thanks to you Waterboy 71,
I followed your instructions and everything
is working great now. I also gained a little
more knowledge on the process involved.
Thanks again.

Thank You... Can I use 950 xl Black & regular size color cartridges. Also have heard that if I use a refilled cartridge I may get an error messages & the printer wont accept it because its shows a being used???
Hi there and welcome back!
Yes, you should be able to use a black XL cartridge with regular size color cartridges. Obviously, you will most likely run out of color ink before the black ink.
The refilled cartridge issue is complicated. Can you use refilled cartridges? Maybe. It's a complicated question because there is much more technology behind ink cartridges than most people realize. If you do refill ink cartridges, they have a much higher failure rate than new cartridges. I like to refer to this article (it's a few years old, but still relevant) to help explain the issue.
To quote the article:
“If you look at cartridges, for example, there’s a massive amount of technology both in the print heads as well as there is some physics associated with the foam and the way the ink flows through the print heads, and over time the foam degrades, gets film, et cetera, and what we’ve found is that, of refilled cartridges, about a third of them wind up failing.”
Hope that helps.
Hi, I just purchased an HP OfficeJet Pro 6830 with product number E3E02A for my Surface with Windows 8.1 RT. I tried to install the printer using the control panel, but it is not listed. I tried to download more drivers from Windows Update, but Windows says that it can't. Does HP have drivers in an .inf format that I can download and install. I previously had a 8600 and that worked fine before someone stole it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin.
Hello JustBegun,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Does this update file have a name? Maybe this update utility can help install the update: HP Update Software Utility
I see no specific update for this printer, so if can locate the file name that will help out a huge amount. Util then, have a great day and best of luck with the update utility.
Regards,
Hell
Every time I open up my Solution Center to print from my C4580 I am getting a pop up window that cannot find the path to a file called: SolutionCenter.msi, does any know what that is or are having the same issue and how do I correct that? Thank you.
hello
windows 8.1
i replaced ink cartridges and still have an ink error message , is there a way to fix this
Thank you, but it doesn't work...
I tried with Paint, Windows Fax and Scanning and HP Scan and Capture (I found in the forum) but still not working.
From Windows Scanning I get the message "first connect a scanner".
Any other suggestions?
And yes, I also tried alternate print drivers - without success...

History: my printer hung up. I went to to the printer que and canceled the first of 2 items wating to print. When i canceled the 2nd one, the printer driver dissapeared. Though HP help site, after following the help guides it says that the driver is already included in the Vista softwear. My trouble is I cannot find it. It does not show up on the list of printers I use like it did before. I have tried to download the driver for that printer but it tells me it is already there. HELP
Easiest way to fix this issue with the proper drivers is to uninstall the printer. Download the correct drivers and save them to the desktop. Once the driver has been downloaded right click on the driver and run as administrator. Finish installing the printer like normal. This has solved a this issue for me and a couple of my customers.
