You are welcome! It looks like the ping test was a success, It's possible that the wireless router is blocking or not able to forward multicast packet (Bonjour). Multicast packet (Bonjour) allows Apple devices to locate the printer on a WiFi network. Please contact your internet service provider or router manufacturer and check if the router is able to forward multicast packet. If the router is able to forward multicast packets then use the steps available here to troubleshoot the connection issue.

Let me know how it goes!

The reason the printer is not connecting is because of the 5 GHz Router.

Since you will not be able to change the Router settings, I suggest you use the WiFi-Direct option to print

Please refer to page 59 - 60 in the User Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04421686 for more details on how to use the WiFi-Direct

Hope this helps 😊

Welcome to our humble abode, the family and tech-friendly house of HP Forums!

I'll be your host for the day, they call me the Riddle_Decipher.

Could you check if the copier works fine as a stand-alone device?

If no, this could be a hardware malfunction.

If yes/or it works fine and yet the printer doesn't, please try the below steps:

Press "Windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window.

Type "services.msc" to get Services - Go to "Print spooler" - Right-click and "Stop" the service.

Now again open "Run" - Type "spool" and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.

Go to services again - Start the print spooler.

Now check for issue resolution.

If the issue persists, also try clean installing the printer drivers. Here are the steps:

First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.

Go to Control panel - Programs and feature - Select all the HP printer entries and uninstall them.

Now go to Control panel - Devices and printer - Select all the printer entries and remove the device.

Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.

Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.

Again, go to the Run window, type - "c:/programdata" - Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Restart your computer.

Then, use this link to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it: Click here

Click here for further diagnosis, if the issue persists.

Let me know how that pans out,

Firmware 20190113 for M77fdn causes periodic rebooting

Installed the new firmware (dated 20190113) for my HP M477fdn, and the printer reboots itself every few minutes for no apparent reason.

Downgraded the firmware to the prior version (20180201), and it's fine again.

Any idea what the problem might be with the new firmware, or how to work around this?

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks!

Thank you for joining the HP Support Community

Make sure that the rollers and the carriage are moving freely.

I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Update the firmware for the printer using this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-4630-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5305049/model/5395749/document/c03876392

Restart the printer.

Refer to this document: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-4630-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5305049/model/5395749/document/c03876392 for Paper Jam Error Displays.

Firmware rollback needed. need 1848AR downgraded to 1834AR No one at HP seem's to know "how"

Have the HP 8710

recent auto update disabled aftermarket cartdriges
( two identicle printers side by side ) one reads the cartdriges just fine and has 1834AR  the other has the firmware 1848AR and claims the cartdriges are not installed properly / used cartdridges.

the OOPE is set to disable in the system access menu on the printer ( this does nothing ).
problem is not with the cartdriges as they work perfectly in the other unit.

Technicians claim "there is no way to rollback firmware"

this is a bit stupid....  can someone please chime in here?

I do not have the same printer but I may mention that I recently installed my HP OfficeJet 7612 (7610 series printer) to my newer HP Notebook using the CD supplied and the HP Toolbox was not included. I had to go online and without allowing HP to detect my printer I downloaded the HP Toolbox for my printer and it worked fine. Then, when went online and allowed HP to peek into my computer and see my printer I used HP Support Assistant where there were recommended updates for my printer and once I installed these updates if a fluke or not my printer totally crashed with a 'missing printhead error. I had prior to the HP Support Assistant downloads and installations successfully printed out two test pages so go figure on that one.  I no longer had a working printer and it took me extensive research but I did recover my printer from the 'Missing printhead error, may I say not via any HP Support or support documents because HP withholds simple keypad key sequence keys to press to reset errors. Sad that HP would allow a good printer to go to recycle or in the trash withholding this keypad sequence instruction.

Windows 10 Printer 3450 Driver issues

I have a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3540 connected to my local network. When I print from my mobile using the HP print software, everything works just fine. On my PC (Widows 10 64 bit), it refuses to be seen online (shown always offline).

When I try with HP doctor, it can see the printer online, connects to the printer, goes to print a test page, but the test page is just sent to the printer and seen in print spool where the printer is seen offline. Sometimes after connecting from HP doctor, the printer starts working from PC, but that is only till I shut down. After PC restart, back to the same issue.

All this, while my phone is perfectly able to print connected to the same network.

I tried downloading the latest driver, but seems like I already have one (and is very old)

Deskjat 3055A printer stopped working, W10 says driver is incomplete, have tried for 4 days

Prineter stopped working after a major W10 update last Thursday, since then it will not print emails.

I have run every scan doctor program but nothing works.

Have deleted the driver many times and tried to re-download, but each time it would appear the download is incomplete.

HP have put a message alongside the download page, saying "on some older printers the webdownload is incomplete", so nothing works.

Is there any way at all I can get a new driver which will load and work or do I have to concede victory to W10 and buy a new printer?, is that the only solution??.

Frustrated after 4 days

Hi

Looks like you are prompted to enter the EWS password. Try a network restore to restore the password -

Network Restore - Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

If the router has a WPS push button, try these steps -

1) Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds to start WPS push mode. The Wireless light starts blinking.
2) Press the WPS button on your router.
NOTE: THE MOMENT YOU PRESS THE WIRELESS BUTTON ON YOUR PRINTER, WITHIN 30 SECONDS YOU SHOULD PRESS THE WPS BUTTON ON THE ROUTER.

If this step is not successful, then we need to first connect the printer to a computer using a USB and then convert the wired connection to wireless as the printer does not have a control panel to enter the Wi-Fi password.

You may refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection

Hi

1) Have you tried your Wi-Fi's password?

2) Can you send us a picture of the screen asking you to enter the password?

In the meantime, let's try these steps  -

Step 1 Try the default password - 12345678.

If the default password does not work, please print a Network Configuration page and look for a Wi-Fi or a Wireless Direct password.

Step 2  To print a Network Configuration page - From the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button together to print the network configuration page.

If the issue still persists, try resetting the printer network to defaults and re-connect the printer to your network -
