Why are drivers not suitable for the operating system?
I need Printer and Scanner drivers of HP laserjet pro MFP M132nw for Windows Server 2012 r2 64bit OS Russian.
not solved, see i am trying to install the basic driver for windows server 2012 r2 but it is showing error massage plz see the pictures...while installing the basic driver

When installing the driver MANUAL Windows swears:
"this driver is only for Windows 95 or newer operating systems"
and does not allow to complete the MANUAL SETUP - blocks
When installing
HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5 (64-bit)
in DEVICES AND PRINTERS, the operating system writes that the driver is not installed.
Devices with a QUESTION and an ANCIENT SIGN appear in the device controller - drivers for the scanner, fax and the printer model are not specified correctly.
When printing on A4 size paper, it is written on the printer screen that the LETTER size is specified until you press OK, then the printer makes a copy of the previous print job.
When printing on A5 size paper, it is written on the printer screen that the LETTER size is specified until you press OK, then the printer makes a copy of the previous print job.
I tried all the tips from the Internet. I changed another wire to USB.
The printer is connected by a USB cable to Windows Server 2012 R2 64bit OS Russian. Added GENERAL ACCESS to the printer.
The network does not print on A5 size paper on Windows 7 (LAN).
When will HP release a driver for Windows Server 2012 r2 64bit OS?
What am I doing wrong?

Unsuccessful Network Installation
I have had my HP Envy Printer for the last couple of years and have never had any problems with it. I went away on holiday for a couple of weeks and came back to find that the printer wouldn't print so I unintalled all the software and drivers (as was recommended in these forums) and tried to do a clean install.
When trying to install the printer wirelessly I get the following error: "Unsuccessful Network Installation". Now, I've followed all the information related to trying to fix this error on these forums and via HP Support and it doesn't seem to resolve the error I'm having which is frustrating as this is my business printer and it's not only taking precious hours out of my day trying to resolve but it's also denying me the ability to print invoices etc. which are crucial to the running of my business. Can I please get this resolved once and for all?

HP Print/Scan Doc can't install software for HP 8630
Would appreciate your help.
1. Problem started one week ago and gone after I did something then HPScan started reported not seeing the Printer..
2. A few runs of HPPrint/Scan Doctor followed
a) all fine until not completing Test Scan,
b) later redflagged Device Manager?
4. After un installing the printer software, the Doctor found the printer and went through the motion of installing software, then abandoned with nothing ( In the middle process, 8630 Icon was added in the Win 10 Device/Printers folder, with the properties when clicked seemed working fine, but disappeared after the Doctor failed to finish the job at the end)
5. I set Manual IP Address for the printer, all IP reporting Apps now reporting it at the same address.

A) Until the problem fixed, i guess that I could use Windows to add the printer back for printing function;
how can i get windows to get some scanning workings done?

I appriciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned after reinstalling the operating system you have issues updating windows.
It looks to be an operating system issue, try few steps recommended below and check if it helps.
Reset Windows Update Service
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key. Then click Control Panel.
2) View by Large icons and click Administrative Tools.
3) Double-click Services.
Note: If you’re prompted for administrator confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
4) Right-click Windows Update and click Stop.
Delete temporary update files in SoftwareDistribution folder
1) Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
2) Double-click DataStore folder to open it. Delete all the files and folders in it.
3) Go back to SoftwareDistribution folder, double-click Download folder to open it, then delete all the files in this folder.
Restart Windows Update service
1) Open Windows Update service again (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Windows Update).
2) Right-click Windows Update and click Start.
3) Close the Services window and the Administrative Tools window.
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps, try the steps recommended below.
Restart the Windows update services and check.
a. Tap or press Windows Key + R, type services.msc and then press Enter.
b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password or click Continue.
c. Locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service and check the Status.
d. If the Status is Stopped, right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Services, and then click Start in the menu.
e. Locate Windows Update and check the Status.
f. If the Status is Stopped, right-click Windows Update, and then click Start in the menu.
g. Close Services.
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps try performing a complete restore of the operating system using the discs or the recovery kit.

Salve,
da qualche giorno non riesco più a stampare dal mio pc con connessione wireless (windows 10, 64bit). La stampante funziona regolarmente con gli altri dispositivi (cellulari compresi), fa copie e scannerizza..quindi il problema deriva dal mio pc.
Ho provato anche a disinstallare e reinstallare il software ma non ho risolto.
Sapreste aiutarmi?

Force Secure Print
Hello,
we're trying to force secure print on our "Officejet Enterprise Color Flow MFP X585" printer. So far we tried to set it up in the printer settings on our print server but the only options we get are "Deactivate" or "Automatic". I found some posts where people say to select "Activated" but this option is not available for us. Is anyone able to help us?

I have a HP 8620 printer and a Surface Book laptop that was running Win 10 1709 and the printer was working OK until an automatic update around 30 April 2018. Since then the printer is "driver unavailable" or "not online" I have tried all the above and still no joy. The printer will work from another surface pro laptop I have and if it is connected to the surface book laptop usb connection. The problem seems to be my Surface Book Windows 10 which has now been changed to Windows 10 version 1803. Please help!!!

Hi Shlomil,
I know that we can use the Easy Start app but we just want the drivers. The Easy Start app makes you download the drivers every time. Why can't we just setup an IP printer and then choose the drivers manually? It seems the Easy Start app is made for users. I am an IT tech and, since I have to do this multiple times, I would prefer pointing to the drivers on our network share.

Overcharged for instant ink
As a result of buying and installing printing and opting for InstantInk found prints were frequently failing.
Consequently I have been charged for prints that were never produced (or occasionally duplicated prints).
No where is there an option to appeal or even get some direct immediate help in solving this.
Have opted out from this service but now appears even the ink supplied with the printing will be blocked from use once the opt out goes thru@.
Anyone know how to get past this?

After loading High Sierra, 10.13 my printer is not found. It will work as a copier but not for scanning nor printing.
The easy start page, which I just visited, states that there is no driver available.
My printer is less than 6 months old.
Is there a work around? Will HP replace my printer with one that is now compatible?

M477 printer goes into boot loop when on a production network, but not a private network
Once the printer obtains an IP via DHCP or static it throws a 79 error message and reboots. I have cleared all the printer jobs, deleted the spooler and readded it to the printer server. I even did a firmware update but nothing seems to work. So I created a private network between the laptop and printer and was able to print. This ruled out the NIC being faulty. After doing some research i am leaning toward it being a bad formatter. However, why would it printer on the private network if it was the formatter? Any help would be appreciated.

Wireless Configuration of LaserJet Pro M1217?
When trying to convert to a wireless (network) for my HP LaserJet Professional M1217nfw MFP printer, gave me the following problems.
1. PCI file missing: Unstalled printer from Windows 7's Control Panel ... then tried to re-install from my HP printer's CD. Couldn't!!! Ran HP's "Print and Scan Doctor" program. This program said I was missing a PCI file. It worked minutes before, why the error msg?
2. Fixed PCI missing error: Bought a new HP Office Printer ... model 6978 and installed its s/w ... no problem so far. Windows Control Panel uninstalled new s/w. Then tried to re-install old M1217 printer's s/w ... another error msg. saying wrong version of WerFault.exe!
3. Wrong WerFault.exe version: downloaded new M1217 version from HP's webPage ... LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe. This new installation s/w required a USB connection that I no longer had. 
4. Called local computer company for help. He stalled M1217 installation problem by using the LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe program -with- a USB line.
What a mess!!! "HP support assistant" and Doctor programs where a waste of time. HP's website did NOT help either! I am an author of 5 math applications and a textbook for engineers and scientists. I started with paper tape as input for developing s/w programs over 50 years ago. Never have I seen such terrible computer work as this HP printer and web site demonstrate. I will have trouble recommending HP stuff in the future, another loyal fan going by the side.

I keep getting a message that I need to shut down and restart the printer because of a malfunction.
There is a problen with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP

When I do this, the same message comes up. Also, when I open the ink door, the cartriges don't move.
