How do you reset Browser Admin and Password for HP Envy 4500

How do I reset the Browser Administrator Username and Password when accessing the printer settings via the h t t p : / / 1 9 2 . 1 6 8 . 1 . X X X ? 

 

This is a very straight forward question and should receive a straight forward answer - a previous request was given wrong information.

 

Note: This is not the Wifi password and not a router issue

 

Is there an expert here who is able to answer this correctly?

I have followed them and am still asked for the Admin Username and Password.

Thank you for your reply.

 

The phone cord as shipped in the box is connected to the upper line port on the rear of the printer alongside the phone icon as you indicate. The other end is plugged into the 'modem' jack on the adapter and the lead from the phone is plugged into the phone jack on the adapter. The adapter itself is plugged into the wall mounted 'modem' jack.

 

That's the set-up. I don't follow how what you suggest would solve the problem.

P.S. The fax facility is for us redundant these days.

The compatible cartridges for this printer in Venezuela are as mentioned below:

  • HP 60 - black (part# CC640WL)
  • HP 60 - Tri-color (part# CC643WL)

If you install these cartridges that should fix the issue. Also, I would like to know if this printer was originally purchased in Venezuela or another country?

Cannot update firmware X551DW

I cannot update my printer to the latest firmware.

 

This is the firmware installed on my printer:

 

BZP1CN1548AR

 

and this is the latest one:

 

BZP1CN1640AR

 

When I run the updater the printer is not found. I also cannot manually enter the ip adres of the printer. How can I solve this? The printer is connected trough wifi.

Driver Problem with Office5610 All in One

Hi, from some weeks I can't use my Officejet 5610 All in One with my desktop with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. It has stopped working suddnely, before it always worked perfectly.

The printer works on a notebook with Windows 10 Home 32 bit.

The printer is recognized as a generic printer and driver don't have the digital sign.

I already tried to install the driver from the cd, from the HP website and I have tried to solve the problem using all the HP software for solving problems.

I don't know what to do.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP ENVY 4500 printer. I understand that you are unable to the printer from your computer wirelessly and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting. 

 

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Set the default printer and unpause printing.
  • Install Windows update KB3147458 (Windows 10 only).
  • Reset the printer and check the connection status.
  • Create a manual connection.
  • Reinstall the printer using HP Printer Assistant.

Automatic installation of software to drive (C:) which has limited storage.

How can I install the printer software on  drive (DSmiley Happy rather than accept automatic installation on (CSmiley Happy. Most programs provide the option of manually selecting the drive on where software is to be installed.

 

Reason for installing on (DSmiley Happy: free up storage space on 30GB SDD (CSmiley Happy which containd Windows OS. Both drives are RAID which allows programs to be installed on either drive.

I could not get my HP Envy 4500 to scan with my Windows 10. Scan Doctor couldn't help so  I uninstalled it then I couldn't reinstall it.  I could see the download but I never got the 'run' window.  It showed in my programs and downloads but not on my devices and printers in the control panel.   Help.

Hello  

   

       My wife had an HP 895 Cse printer running with a Toshiba Laptop, then of coure laptop motherboard died so we got her a used Dell Lattitude with GENUINE windows 7    Don't know who set up the printer but it was working fine... Anyways,  an error message kept popping up on new  laptop saying NOT running genuine windows... the wife ignored it for several months and I finally said lets take it back to store and get the genuine as purchased...  Long story short, they wiped out old windows 7 reinstalled it  and now showing genuine...  

         Unfortunately they wiped out the HP drivers for 895 cse and I can't find disc..   been to hp site and no driver, no generic driver, nadda....  so went online looking for disc   found 3 of them but all 32 bit..  our system 64 bit... PRINTER WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY....    ANY IDEAS????    if you have a suggestion please email me   GTFin@cox.net

Cannot Install "Full Feature Software/Driver for HP Officejet Pro 8500"

I’ve owned the HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One Printer for the past 6 years or so.  I upgraded from Win XP to Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 and then went immediately back to Windows 7 Professional because of all the issues I encountered.  Because of my Windows version, I have downloaded HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver (Windows 7, 64 Bit) - 294.19M.  However, every time I attempt this installation, Driver Navigator fails to install all the way and I cannot proceed with the software installation.  I have been unable to use my HP 8500 for more than 9 months because I haven’t had time to thoroughly troubleshoot this issue.  I am finding no well-known user related issues to using Driver Navigator, so I have no idea what to do.  Hoping someone can provide me with some suggestions to troubleshoot; however, at this juncture, I wonder if HP can provide an installation CD with the full feature software/driver for HP Officejet Pro 8500 without Driver Navigator?  Again, I have Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit installed on my system ~ appreciate the assistance ~ thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. Smiley Happy I came across your post and would like to help.

 

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 5646 e-All-in-One Printer and you're unable to install the drivers for this printer on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. I read that the printer is well connected to the network. You even tried using the HP Easy Start and that didn't help. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

 

I did some research and found that the full featured drivers for this printer are not available for Mac OS X 10.10. However, there is a workaround we can use. WE could install the Mac inbuilt print drivers and then add the printer. Please follow the below steps to do this:

  • Download the Mac inbuilt drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2flF56z
  • From System Preferences, click on Print & Scan.
  • Click the Plus sign.
  • Select the listed ENVY 5640 series.
  • Click the drop-down menu next to Use or Print Using and click on Select Printer Software.
  • Select the ENVY 5640 series from the list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection and add the printer, then try printing using the configured print queue.

These basic drivers for ENVY 5640 series will be good for printing and scanning. For scanning, you may have to use the Apple Image Capture application.

Thanks for the update! I would like to jump in with a suggestion Smiley Happy

 

You mentioned that you only see the Fax version in the Control panel - Devices and printers.

Right-click on the Fax - Envy 7640 - Select "Set as Default Printer"

You will have 2 options, one with a Fax entry and the regular Envy 7640 - network. Select the regular version as your default printer.

 

Now, try giving the permissions as suggested below:

 

  • Press the "Windows logo key" + "r" to get “Run" - Type "spool" and press ok.
  • Right-click on "PRINTERS" - Select "Properties"
  • Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
  • Go to "Devices and printers", right-click on the new printer that you installed and select "Printer properties".
  • Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
  • Restart your computer and then try to print.


Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Hi Kazi, here I am again. I have tried with new hp 60 cartridges but all the lights are still blinking. I do not know what else to do. In the city where I live in Venezuela (Maracay) I have no idea if there is a HP certified technician who could check my printer. Also parts and supplies are limited. I hope you can help me finding a solution for my case. Thanks
