Re: images not printing HP Envy 4527

I too am having issues with images embedded in a Word document not printing correctly. I am using a new HP ENVY 4527.

 

Embedded images that are JPEG or Bitmaps will print only a portion of the image and at a larger size.

 

I'm using a HP Desktop runinng Windows 7 Home Premium.

I had a macbook and everything worked perfectly, my dad can print from his samsung edge phone but I can't print from my Toshiba computer. I can scan and my computer detect the printer but when i send something to print nothing happen. I instal the doctor driver and I could print test, the wirless connection is fine but it said it was  the drivers so I uninstal them and reinstal them maybe 2-3 times and nada. I am desperate I don't know what to do! Help!!

Hello.

Status on my problem:  I reset Internet Explorer and the problem continues with no change.

 

Earlier, I had read under a Windows forum, that the problem might be traced to the deletion of a "Low" file under the IE temporary file.  I checked and found I had a functioning Low file.  A suggested next step was to attempt a command prompt run as administrator: ICACLS"%\AppData\Local\Temp\Low"/setintegritylevel(OI)(OC)low.  When I entered this command, I received a message that the c ommand had an error in file name, syntax, etc.

 

Lastly, in the related problem I had using Adobe Reader for a downloaded Internet file, I looked at the Reader history and found an entry: RdrCEF.exe--Application error Oxc0000022.  Is this informative in any way?

 

I'm about ready to give up on this.

Printer Paper Sensor ERROR

My mother keeps sending a standard 81/2x11 page to print and the  printer keeps saying printer sensor dedects wrong size paper in tray, or requested size of printing is incompatable with paper in tray.

 

I, her son has verified that the properties on the computer is set for normal stationary letter size and the paper in the tray is  normal letter size.

 

We have rebooted, turned everthing off, gone to HP auto fix software as instructed and all says everything is working  well...

 

Does anyone have a suggestion or should we just reinstall the printer softward with the provided disc when printer was purchased??

I see by your post that you are getting an “Ink system failure” message on your Officejet printer. I will certainly do my best to help you Smiley Happy
 

This error is normally caused due to the print head assembly or the power unit related issues. You can try the following steps:

  • Remove the cartridges from the printer.
  • Also, remove the print head by lifting the latch on the print cartridge carrier.
  • Now, with the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
  • Now try inserting the print head and the cartridges to check the issue resolution.

 

If the issue persists, then the issue could more likely be with the printer hardware. I would suggest contacting the HP phone support to get printer service or a possible upgrade. You can go to http://hp.care/2bkTGBQ and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.

HP OJ 8710 - Driver ONLY

Having some issues with a new HP OJ 8710, that I have installed as a network printer on our DC.  I would like to remove and reinstall the driver, but I'm having a hard time finding JUST the driver itself. All I keep getting is the .exe file that doesn't tell me where it's extracting files to.  Anyone know where I can find the drivers ONLY, or anotehr possible solution to the issue.  

Even with test page, it doesn't print correctly. Most fits on one page, but the bottom part of the test prints on a second page. Trying to print multiple pages is a mess. Some one one page, the rest on page 2, then part of page 2 at the bottom of the page and the rest prints on page 3, etc.

Hi:

 

I'm assuming you want the basic driver...

Now, here is the way to extract just the driver out of the file...

 

Download and save, but do not run the above driver.

 

Download and install this free file utility.  The 1st file at the top of the page is for 32 bit.

 

http://www.7-zip.org/

 

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the printer driver file you downloaded, and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

 

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the exe file into its folder.

 

Now you can add your printer by using the add printer wizard, and when the wiz asks for the driver, select Have Disk, and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created>and you will find the various driver files (network printer, scanner, etc.).

If you are satisfied that you have set / adjusted the settings in Printing Preferences that should have corrected the issue, then yes - you can certainly remove the existing printer programs (Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features) > Reboot > install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software for your Operating System.

 

 

If you wish, do first see what the Doctor says about the problem:

Printer:

HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

 

  • If using a USB cable to connect the printer and computer, disconnect the cable
  • Create a Restore Point
  • Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit Reader)
  • This works best if the computer's Windows (10) Updates are current - check if you are unsure
  • Update your HP Drivers (or other vendor computer) - printer software likes updated Drivers
  • Verify / Switch-on Network Discovery and Print Sharing
  • Open Printer Website Driver Support Page >
  • Download a fresh copy of the Full Feature software >
  • Remove existing Printer Software by preferred method:
    1. Control Panel> icon view > Programs and Features> Right-Click on program > Uninstall
    2. Settings> System> Apps and Features> Left-Click on Application > Select Uninstall>
  • Shut down the computer > boot, and log in >
  • Install Full Feature Software (find in your Downloads folder > Double-Click on the file) >
  • Restart the computer and log in to finish the installation

Error when trying to install ENVY 5646 driver on Mac OSX: "Cannot obtain software information."

When I'm trying to install the printer drivers, I'm getting the error message:

 

"Cannot obtain software information. Check your network connection, and then try again."

 

My internet connection is fine.

 

The printer is connected via USB, but has already been set up on WiFi using my Android phone.

 

What should I try? Clicking "Try again" Doesn't fix it.

Hello

I recieved an email that I was given another suggestion to this issue and I can't seem to find it. Last mess I have is suggestion I try moving the USB or a new one and I have done that.  i just tried to print another form and it sounds like it's printing and comes out blank? This printer is in excellent like new condition and is useless to me unless I can get it printing! Any other ideas? Could it be the ribbion if there is such a thing in these new printers? HELP PLEASE

Just to add some further info, the HP Easy (Hah!) Start appp can see the printer and lets me select it. It's after a few steps when it shows "searching for software" where it fails.

 

The printer is connected to my router. The Instant Ink set up was fine.

 

I have tried unplugging the USB and selecting the wireless printer and it does the same thing.

 

I've tried resetting the print system. No joy.

That does not solve the question I asked. I have tried those already and wish to ensure my software is up to date. However the updated software will not load until I can clear the error message fromt he screen. How do I clear the message so I can get to the basic print menu?


Change 6520 series wireless setup on MacPro back to USB cable

New MacPro, downloaded latest HP driver for printer.  Installed and selected wireless.  After using a few days wirelessly  I want to change it back to USB cable instead of wireless (don't want to use my JetPack time allotment for printing).  

 

What is the procedure to do that (could not find answer here or in HP Help).  Does it have to be uninstalled and reinstalled?  Download a fresh installer?

Ideally, the power drain should have helped you clear the error message. Since the error message is still displayed, I am afraid that you cannot update the firmware from the printer control panel Smiley Sad

 

But, not to worry, you can try and update the printer firmware using the MAC. Go to http://hp.care/2kTS8mo and click on download to update the printer firmware. Please do check the installation instructions to make sure you are doing it the correct way.

I resorted to that link earlier to do exactly that, but the update will not load until the fault message is cleared. It is a vicious circle.
