This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting print quality issues on HP Deskjet F2280 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

  • Check the print settings.
  • Run the automatic utility to clean the ink cartridges.
  • Print an extended self-test report.
  • Check the ink-level indicators on the extended self-test report.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

The WPA (or Wifi password) usually is printed on the router (if you have not changed it)

 

Else, you can reset your router to factory defaults (check with the router manufacturer how it's done).

Disabling Scantocomputer worked for me.

 

I have a custom built desktop computer with Windows 8.1 attached by wire to my home router, and the HP Officejet 8500 pro All-in-One printer is configured as a WiFi device.

 

I don't have the same issue with our laptops, which are running Windows 10 and connect by WiFi.

printer (7640 e) & PC (envy series) computer do not connect

Computer and printer have disconnected.  Printer still will print from my I-pad at present have a file stuck in the que. Should i reinstall the printer from the cd or is the problem more with the computer not finding the printer? Also not sure if windows 7 is a 32 or 64 bit system.  Also I am not very tech smart.

OfficeJetPro 8740

Installed new 8740. Connected to router via Ethernet. Desktop connected to router via Ethernet. Two laptops connected to router via wi-fi. All worked fine until yesterday. One lap top showed printer offline when printing. Attempted to delete and re-add printer, wants WPS pin like I want to connect to printer via Wi-Fi but printer is connected to router via Ethernet. Desktop and other laptop work fine. Verified laptop with problem is connected to the internet via router. Turned router on/off, turned printer on/off.  Scan Doctor does not fix problem.

I understand that you have printing issues with your printer.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

What happens when you try to perform copy? Does the issue persist?

 

As you mentioned when printing the document using Microsoft office, the printer is not printing.

 

Have you tried printing using a different application? Eg: PDF or printing from notepad. Does the issue persist?

 

If the issue is only with Microsoft office, please uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft office and check again.

 

Alos, try updating the Microsoft office and check if it helps.

 

 

Try creating a blank document and print.

Close all Word 2010 documents.
Click the File Button, and then click New.
Under Available Templates, click Blank document, and then click Create.
Type some text in the new document.
Click the File Button, Print menu and then click the Print button.

PCL Code for envelope size #14

I currently use C# and PCL escape codes to print envelope size #10. I need to also print envelope size #14 and cannot find the PCL escape codes for this. Does anyone know how to do this?

Remove apps from computer with w-10

I needed to reinstall my printer drives so I went to HP and downloaded the software. Diring installation it asked me if I wanted an apps ? I think a message came up telling me that this apps doesnt work on my computer. I think I said install anyways not realising it would be placed in the middle of my working screen, and it just sits there doing nothing I need detailed   instructions on how to remove this APPS. Thanks

Hi ZBaca,

 

There is not a driver to download for macOS 10.12, but you should be able to use Apple Software Update (ASU) to do the update.  You should be able to follow the instructions in this HP Support document to update your Deskjet F380 All-in-One Printer.

Thanks for sending me a link to a basic video presentation that's taught this grandfather how to suck eggs.

 

In particular, the one thing it doesn't show is how to get round the problem I mentioned.

 

Namely, how to make sure that once I've used Easy Scan to scan a MULTIPAGE DOCUMENT AS A MULTIPAGE DOCUMENT and  send it to a folder, it turns up in that folder as a MULTIPAGE DOCUMENT AND NOT AS SEPARATE PAGES.

 

This separation into single scanned items of the pages of a scanned multipage document in transmission to the folder is, as I also explained, in contrast to what used to happen - namely, that a multipage document sent to a folder arrived as a multipage document, to be clear - when I was able to use HP Scan. (That is, before my upgrading to macOS Sierra disabled HP Scan, which was why I was then advised by Resolv_S to donwload Easy Scan.)

 

If you or your colleagues have can suggest a way of getting round this specific transmission problem with Easy Scan, please let me know. Or else please tell me when HP plans to produce an update that will enable my 7520 once again to work with the current Mac OS.

Hi Benny2017,

 

There is not a driver available to install macOS 10.12, but you can use Apple Software Update (ASU) to do the updated on your HP Deskjet F2480.  The instructions in this HP support document will guide you through the process.

Thanks for the super quick reply. Superb job on trying the different steps to isolate the issue.Kudos to you.

DIRECT-F8-HP ENVY 7640 Series" shows on the computer because the Wireless direct is on.Please turn off the wireless direct option on your printer.

Steps to follow to turn of the Wireless-direct: 

1. From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Wireless button.

2. Open the following menus:

  • Wireless Menu
  • Wireless Direct
  • On/Off

3. Touch the Off menu item. The product saves the setting and then returns the control panel to the Wireless Direct menu.

 

Step 2: I recommend you to uninstall and reinstall the software for all your printer concern. (Please refer the above post, posted by Jeet_singh for detailed instructions.)

Double adapter connection for our phone & LaserJet Pro 200

Our land line phone and LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n are connected via a double adapter. With the printer connected, the phone cuts off incoming calls! Outgoing calls no problem. If we disconnect the printer, incoming calls come though OK. So the root of the problem is with the printer. 

 

Any ideas how to solve the problem?

Got it!  After trying several fixes, went in devises and deleted the drive.  Printing begin working.  Have no idea how I got extry driver or why printer went offline to begin with.

Hi, there! Can't get multiple computers to find the printer;  two different Macbook pros (one with 10.10, anothe with 10.11) won't find it wirelessly or with direct USB connection, just keep getting "no devices have been found".  Followed the set up guide steps exactly multiple times.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. Smiley Happy I came across your post and would like to help.

 

I understand that you have an HP Deskjet D5560 Printer and when you power it on, all the lights start to blink. Due to this, the printer does not work. The only way to power it off is by unplugging the power cable. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

 

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Did any changes take place on the printer like cartridge replacement, etc?
  • Any paper jams, or errors?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the light continues to blink then I suggest you to perform the stpe sas described in detail in this link.
