Hi,
What is your exact printer model? is it the HP Officejet 4500 (G510m) or the HP Deskjet 4500 (K710) model?
You should find the model number listed on the label at the back of your printer.

Thanks for the reply, but I am using the usb cord the printer came with everything was working fine until a couple days ago, so I doubt that is the issue.
A USB cable can get damaged with the time, therefore not transferring the required power amount as expected.
Please give it a try and check if that makes any difference.
Hi all,
I recently purchased the HP Envy 5010. Setup the printer and the HP Smart software on both my MacBook and iPhone. I can print perfectly with my iPhone, but not on my MacBook.
In the ''printer settings'' tab on the HP Smart app on my MacBook, it states "Installation Status: Not Installed". I'm unable to print because of this and I'm not sure how to rectify this.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Garry Mason
I have manage to store logo on receipt printer with HP Utility software but when i print any receipt logo is not applying.
How can i apply logo to all printing receipts ?
I found the driver file and downloaded it, but it failed to open to install in my conputer. May be it is not compatible with Win10.
I have problem installing the driving routine for Windows. The code are 1627. I have found the routines at the HP web page but cannot install them on my computer.
Okaaaaay So i figured it out!!!!!!! I finally did a factory reset for my computer!! One person said push the home and back button alternatively but it didnt work....SO, I kept playing with it.
While the printer is powered on you will only see the question mark lit on the left hand side (HP Officejet Pro 8620) but you are still able to press the home and back buttons. So, I first started pressing both of them simultaneously and holding it for a 10 seconds to see if it would do anything. I don't think it did anything(if i can recall correctly); I then tried holding just the back button for 10 seconds and it worked (i believed). It had a new menu that ask if i woulf like to do two different resets. If you would like to do a factory reset make sure to click on the semi-full reset.
Just try both and I am sure one will work. It happened so fast i just cant recall, plus its 2:30AM
Good Luck!

good morning
I have a problem with the "color laserjet pro MFP M177fw" printer
following an update I made:the printer lost the touch screen for manual use,
only the HP and energy start symbols appear on the touch screen and so the printer works only from PC.
Can anyone tell me how to restore it?
I apologize for writing,
I'm Italian, I don't know English very well.

You can try an NVRAM reset, there are videos on YouTube that show the steps. Keep in mind that this clears all settings.

Did you try using the HP Scan and Capture app to scan? HP Scan and Capture is a simple application that captures photos or documents from an HP scanning device or your computer's built-in camera. These images can be previewed, edited, saved, and shared with other applications as well.
Install HP Scan and Capture
Click here to download and know more about the app.
If you are still not able to scan, proceed to the next step.
Step 1: Update Windows
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Step 2: Restart Windows Image Acquisition service
