Re: The Fax is interfering with our telephone answering machine. It screeches when someone calls us.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

It sounds like Fax is not configured properly, re configuring Fax would be the easiest way to resolve the issue. You may use the steps available here to re-configure Fax.

Re: Windows Vista 32 bit and HP Deskjet 2634

@RailwayBookworm,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you getting any error when you install the software?

I checked the specifications of your printer and see that there is no full feature software available for Windows Vista and you need to install the basic drivers. If you have any other computer with Windows 7 or above, try installing the printer on that computer and check.

Meanwhile, I recommend you root uninstall the printer and reinstall it.

Here is how it is done

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/DJ2600/DJ2600_Basicx86_43.3.2478.exe

15.) Connect the USB cable ONLY when prompted and follow the on-screen instructions.

Cheers!

Borderless printing

I am trying to print programs for my daughter's wedding and I cannot get the printer to print borderless.  I did read where if I installed the advanced drivers instead of basic that it would work.  However, on trying to install from that download and wireless, it does not advance to the install.  Do I have to uninstall the printer and current drivers and reinstall the advanced driver product?

Officejet Pro 8610 product update not finishing install

I was in the middle of a print job and left my printer to do other work. Returned to find it out of paper. No problem there, however when I added paper there is a message on the printer stating that
"Product update has been downloaded successfully.
Please wait while the printer is being updated.”
After an hour that is still all I have on the printer screen. I am hesitant to turn it off.
There is nothing that I can access on the printer as this is all that it displays. If I do turn it off and it locks up how do I reset it?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: HP officejet 3831 error OXB85F8D10

It sounds like a hardware issue with the printer.

There is nothing much we can do about this. You need to contact HP support and get the service options for the printer.

Please contact HP support for service options. Click Here

Re: Officejet Pro 8610 product update not finishing install

Well after another hour or so I just decided to power it down.
Apparently that was what it was waiting for.
It began the shutdown then screen on the printer changed to updating the printer with a status bar which progressed and finished.
Of course it also gave a message not to turn off the printer.
When it was done it said it would restart, which it did not.
So I powered it on and was given the message that I successfully install the latest version.
Now I am printing again.
Can’t say that will work for everyone, but I guess it worked for me.
Good luck all.

officejet 8720 Pro will print but will not scan to my chromebook

Printer works fine but will not scan documents to my Chromebook. Not sure from "all the advice" which software I may need to download or if there's an issue if connected via USB to chromebook vs wireless which is not a problem if need be. Thanks in advance. When I press "scan to computer" message says software may not be installed or set-up & then offers links to Windows & OS  operating systems software. email is caprate1@hotmail.com (preferred) & then gmail account.

Re: How to configure or REconfigure recently installed printer for Send scan to email

@ShelbyMF

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Here is a video to help you setup scan to email: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVilKvFXEf8&feature=youtu.be

Though it says Laserjet, you can still use the same way to set up scan to email for an Officejet too.

Re: My printer screen Showing "Now printing alignment page..."but not printing it or allow

Hi, I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions I found within the HP Community but nothing has worked thus far.

I changed my color ink cartidge as usual.  I have done this many, many times.  Prompted me to print an alignment page which I elected to do.  Now I cannot get rid of the "Now printing alignment page..." on my printer.

I did a hard reboot which did not work and I tried to hit the down arrow on the printer but nothing happens.  I am prompted each time I print a document to align the page, which I select to do.  I get an error stating the printer is busy then it prints out my document.  I have to go through this everytime I want to print a document.

My original issue is my printer is no longer scaning or copying documents.  I have also tried all the troubleshooting recommendations for that.  Maybe I am doing something out of sequence?  Any recommendations for both my issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

FRUSTRATED!

HP LaserJet M130 Install Failed on Win 2012 R2

I downloaded the drivers for a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fn. I selected Windows Server 2012 R2 as the operating system.  The file I downloaded was named, "LJM129-M134_UWWL_4-1_UW_4_1_Basicx64_44.1.2550.exe".  While running this installer as an Admin on the Windows server (our print server) it extracted, then said this operating system is not supported for this driver.

This has to be an error in the driver package, right? I have triple-checked that I am downloading the proper driver from HP.com.

HPM130 Installation Error.png

The print server's event viewer shows this information message:

************

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: HP LaserJet MFP M129-M134 Basic Device Software. Product Version: 44.1.2550.17198. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: HP Inc.. Installation success or error status: 0.

**********

I suspect the status of 0 means it failed.

PS: I opened a support case with HP.  I called with my case number and they transferred me four times. The last transfer dropped my call. This is how it is almost every time I call HP.  It's like "amature hour".  I am so fed up with their support.  Maybe I can get better assistance from my peers in this forum.

HP Envy 7640 - unable to use wifi when network cable is plugged in to printer.

I have an HP Envy 7645 printer.  It has been connected to my router via a network cable.  I have used it this way with a desktop computer and multiple laptops using WiFi.  Recently, none of the laptops are able to print.  I've tried uninstalling the driver on the laptops and reinstalling.  It did not fix the probelm.

What else should I try?
