Thanks for the advice. I have followed the instructions and I now have the printer installed and printing. However, I cannot get the scanner to work. When i click on the printer icon on the desktop, instead of getting the maintenance, scanning and other options, I get the Printer setup and software screen, inviting me to connect a new printer or reconfigure the wireless settings. When I click on "reconfigure wireless settings" and "show network settings", I get the message "unable to retrieve".

I recommend you download HP print and scan doctor and using it you can perform the maintenance on the printer.

Here is how it is done.
You can use HP Print and Scan Doctor to run additional diagnostics and find printer information.
Printer diagnostic and cleaning services: On the menu bar, click Printer, and then click Printer Services. A list of printer services displays.

Print Quality Diagnostics Page: Helps troubleshoot print quality issues, such as broken lines, faded or missing colors, and streaks.![]()
Align Printheads: Align the printhead to perform an alignment after installing new cartridges or when print quality is unsatisfactory.![]()

Print Diagnostic Information: Information about the status and condition of your printer.
Printer network connection information: On the menu bar, click Network, and then click Show Advanced Info. The computer and network IP address, Mac address, signal strength, connection, network, and security types, and other network information displays.
Ink and toner cartridge information: On the menu bar, click Printer, and then click Supply Levels or Ink Levels.
Troubleshoot firewall issues: On the menu bar, click Network, and then click Troubleshooting Firewalls. Follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any firewall issues, or click Firewall Help or Online Firewall Help for more information.
Printer information: On the menu bar, click Printer, and then click Advanced Printer Data. The printer serial number, warranty status, and other information displays.
HP ePrint information and print a claim code: On the menu bar, click Printer, click Web Services. The printer Web Services information displays. To print the printer claim code, click Print ePrint Instruction Page.

Sorry we can't help, it is YOUR password and hopefully no one knows it except you or maybe relatives or closed friends You can logon to your router to find out. Worse case, reset your router and then create a new one.

sounds basic - how can I find my operating system on my iPad / iPhone XR
Before purchasing the HP LaserJet Pro M14-M17 research told me you could print from Apple devices. I don't know what to answer for operating system of my iPad version 2.
i am also getting an iPhone XR next week and would appreciate any clues on how to set that up as well.

How do you connect your printer right now ? Which everway you NEED your printer and Apple devices are on a SAME network. You also need to use Apple Store to search for and install the preferred HP Smart app on all Apple devices. Then use HP Smart app to print and scan.

Sorry that is not what i meant. how do i know which SSID to use. is it the one for the back of the router or the one that my internet company gave me. i have tried them all. and mixed them up. Besides that my router actually have 2 diffrent numbers on the back that both state they are the SSID.

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are unable to print from your computer.
Update the printer firmware
Refer this HP document for the steps to update the printer firmware:- Click here
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install full feature driver for the printer
Click here to download the driver.

Can you try this standalone scan software:
HP Scan Extended
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

As instrcuted I've downloaded the drivers for the HP 3620 printer, but double clicking the file to launch the auto install just gives me a message as follows

Changing country with my Envy 110
Hi Folks,
I recently moved from the UK to New Zealand.
My HP Envy 110e would use number 300 cartridges in the UK, the equivalent cartridge here is number 60, however, my printer insists i have installed the wrong cartridges.
I have reset the printer to New Zealand regeon with a full reset using the service menu.
Anyone have any ideas how the printer can be reconfigured to New Zealand ink supplies?

Too dark printing images
Hello,
I've been using this printer for a long time and I'm happy with it.I do not print much, but when I print, I expect good results.After migrating to Windows 10x64bit and installing the driver
