A such occours due to an issue in your envoirnment, not due to lack of compatibility.
Please open the Control Panel and select Devices and Printers.
Right click its backgrouns and select Device manager.
Can you see any category expended by default within yoru device manager?
What instances are shown below that category?
Expend the network Controllers category - can you see any Realtek instance below it?
May it have any attention mark, etc?

First be sure to restore your printer's network settings by pressing and holding both the WiFi and Cancel buttons till the power light blinks, then restart your printer.
Ensure the blue wifi light blinks, if it is off press the wifi button once so it will start blinking.
Next follow HP Easy Start below by selecting a wireless connection to configure your printer for your new network:

Please swipe your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen and then tap the setup icon.
Click on Printer Maintenance.
Select Restore.
Select Restore Factory Defaults and confirm.
Once the printer restarts the password should be removed, if it is connected wirelessly by sure to follow the Wireless Setup Wiazard to reconnect your printer wirelessly as following:
Swipe your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen and then tap the wifi icon.
Click the Gear icon.
Click on Wireless Setup Wizard.
Follow the steps on screen to connect to your home wifi.
When my Wife's father died in 2009 he left a lot of files in an archive but no software to go with it. We are currently trying to track down a program that will open ALBM file and allow us to copy and print them .
We would really like to access these files as they are unique and the photos contained in them are very old.
Can anyone in the forum help us please.
Is there any way to install HP Officejet Pro 6960 on Windows Server 2016?
Installation can not be completed with drivers of Windows 10 nor Windows server 2012 R2.
So is there any generic driver I can install?

I have followed these instructions to the letter. When I get to the URL to click and instal it is a 404 error page and I get nothing. This printer is a year old and I have now spent six hours trying to get it to work. The last time from HP it installed, came up Direct FE and NO DRIVER AVAILABLE. I found this and thought it would work. This is extremely frustrating when you need to print and the printer won't work all of a sudden. So I have done every step here and the install page doesn't come up. What now? Please help.
After seven hours of trying everything everyone suggested I did the uninstall according to the tech on the forum but couldn't install. Followed all the instructions to start services and then signed into HP and let it find my printer and clicked to install from there instead of trying all the other ways and it worked.
My printer was removed from my desk top. I no longer have the disk to reinstall. How can I get it reinstalled?

I have the same issue. Printing from my macbook, Mac desktop and iphone no probem. But scanning from macbook never works. I've had this problem for more than a year and the only way I've found to solve is powering off the printer and back on. VERY ANNOYING! I know there are scanning apps you can use on your iPhone but when you have 25 pages to scan that is not efficient. Seems that HP needs to fix this problem.

I had the printer stopped on error code "0x83C0000A NOS LOADER APP" after having press start ok and up arrow, it went to "reflash 1234" and does not turn off.
I have already tried to switch off the power for a long time, I tried with the diagnostic program without result.

Thank you for responding.
Yesterday I called the helpdesk and we found out that the problem was the Windows updat 10 pro.
They deleted everything from HP and reinstalled the program.
The printer is working again.
The problem is resolved.

My printer has shadows on certain things I try to print. I have aligned the cartridges three times and even popped out the new HP black cartridge and put it back in, then ran the alignment again. Photocopies, Word documents, alignment page, and self-test page all printed perfectly. When trying to print a return label with a barcode from a company, I had shadows.
If you need the alignment settings from the test report, let me know.
All I can say is, WOW and THANK YOU SO MUCH! That was so simple! When searching online last night for hours, I never saw anything that told me the FIRST thing I needed to do was restore the printer's network settings by pressing and holding both the "WiFi" and "Cancel" buttons until the power light started blinking and I'm not smart enough to know that it needed to be done.
When went away on vacation on Jun7, 2018 my printers (Hp Deskjet 4655 and Lasejet 1018) were both working from my desktop computer (Window 10 64 bit). When I returned on Jun 18th I was not able to print to either printer. the error message from Notepad was "A StartDocPrinter call was not issued"
1. I tried the Cacls.exe solution outlined in other places in this forum - Did not work
2. unplugged and uninstalled both printers
3. Reinstalled HP 4655 ok then got same error message from Notepad. I can scan from computer but not print. I can print from my phone and tablet.
4. Ran hp print and scan doctor for windows and it recommended that I uninstall and reinstall which I did. Still no luck printing from computer.
I am fairly good with computers but need help with this problem.
