Hi ,

Glad to hear that your issue is resolved and all is working well now.

Have a nice day!

error: remove and reinstall ink

My printer is giving the error message, "Remove and reinstall ink cartridge indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed. If this message continues to appear, replace the indicated ink cartridge."  I have removed and reinstalled both the ink cartridges. It says indicated ink cartridge without indicating which ink cartridge. This is the first time I have used this for color printing. Also the first time to use it on photo paper. After giving a trial run on plain paper and installing photo paper, the printer kicked out the error message. Surely it isn't a problem with the color cartridge. I have printed 3 color pages total. I replaced the black cartridge hoping that was the issue. I don't have an extra color cartridge. It won't even print a test page.

I deinstalled my HP4650 printer in order to try and fix a situation where it wasn’t printing in color from my PC only (phone and tablet were ok). Now I am trying to reinstall and system won’t let me. I get the following error message: “Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install. I have restarted PC, done a file cleanup, deactivated firewalls and unchecked startup programs and it still will not install software. Any other suggestions?

M1212nf MFP full software install fails on Windows 10

My M1212nf MFP full software was working over my network fine on my 64 bit Windows 10 Lenovo T530 until the OS got corrupted.  I had to restore the OS, which took out the printer applications.  The printer driver installed with no problem so I can print, but I need the full app to scan.  When I try to install the full app, it donloads with no problem.  I have tried running the install program as a user and as the admin.  The install program extracts 100% of the files and then just quits.

I used Task Manager, and all I could see was HP webpack running while the files are being extracted.  After the files are extracted, HP webpack goes away and I don't see any processes that look like install process running.  It's like it uppacks and then quits.

Any suggestions on how to get this software installed on my PC again?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sally,

Please try providing permissions to both the Temp folder and the Spool folder and check if that may help:

From the Control Panel (Category View) select User Account and then User Accounts again.

Thank a note of your exact user name as listed on the right pane.

  1. Right click the Start button and select Run.
  2. Type %temp% and press OK.
  3. Browse one level up.
  4. Right click the Temp folder and select Properties.
  5. Click the Security tab and then press on Advanced.
  6. Ensure your user name is the Owner, if any other user or group is shown take a note of its name, click on Change and type your user name, then on Check Names and OK.
  7. Check the box below the user name, then press Apply and OK.
  8. Click the Edit button and look if your user name is listed. if not click Add, type your user name, then on Check Names and OK.
  9. Check the box to Allow Full Control to the user, then press Apply, OK and confirm any prompt.

If the original Owner was System, please follow step 5 - 7 and set the owner back to original owner, then close any dialog.

Now try printing a test page and check.

If you see the same results, please browse to C:\Windows\System32\spool and repeat the same steps to the drivers folder.

Once again, be sure to set the owner back to System once you are done.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

Thank you for the reply, MUCH appreciated!

I followed each step as directed, here's some notes on this. In short, it didn't work. Still unable to print.

1. I deleted the hp folder in the program files

2. I don all these  twice, the first time there was some hp stuff in the device manager, but neither time was there a printer in the printers folder. I delete all hp stuff in the device manager.

I noticed something new to me, the wsd stuff. I opened the driver and did notice the ip of the printer.

3. There was no HP products in the printui.exe

Interesting, the link you sent me has no drivers available, but going thru the website, selecting my printer, it took me back to same page where I originaly downloaded the full web pack.

Launchig it does nothing, thinks for a few seconds then nothing.

So, I tried the manual way (OS drivers). I tried with wired and usb, neither work. In the wired option it sees the printer ip and name, but in usb mode sees nothing.

In the wired mode it failes the installation with error 0X00000643, in the usb mode it has been pending for the past 6 hours. The system is setup to download needed OS drivers automaticaly.

Again, thank you for your help!

PS: I done a test, I can scan using photoshop via the usb, just wish I could print! EVERYTHING I do, requires printing!

And I can vew files on a flash drive when inserted.

FYI: I can print fine on my windows 10 laptop and my iphone 7 plus. And I was able to print on my now broken desktop running same Vista.

Hello.

I just bought a LaserJet Pro M102w for my company. We use it for invoice printing and after i install it i saw that 'Rotate 180 degres' function it's missing from basic/ full driver suite.

We desperately need that preprinted number from the invoice to be at sight (outside of tray), that's way i need that function. I can't return the printer cause the store from i buyed from tell me that i used the cartdridge. From were to know that HP removed a function that every printer on the earth have it, also all HP Printers that i used before have it. Why do you removed it? Please give me a fix. I try use PCL 6 x64 bit drivers but with no success, no print. Any another advise? Can i use other drivers for that printer that work and help me solve my issue.

PS: Totally disapoint about this printer driver!

Looking forward for your answer.

Best wishes.

  • From the Start menu or the Start screen:

Step 5. Right click the Start menu and select Run.
     Type Services.msc and press OK.

Step 7. Restart PC.

Step 8. Finally, reinstall the HP Software.

Unwanted paper size

Is it possible to set your printer plotters to turn off paper sizes ie our 4700 has A4 paper and will only ever have A4 until the end of time and personally i am sick and tired of getting to the printer to find it asking for legal paper which we will never ever EVER have and you end up forcing a4 just to get rid of it which it gives some unuseful print.

Hi , I am the Mr.Robot. It looks like you were interacting with , but he is out of the office today, so I'll take over from here.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

Have you tried checking with a different USB cable?

As you mentioned when you try to uninstall the printer software you are getting an error Failed to find driver packages on your PC.

Try few steps recommended below and check if it helps.

Click on Start, in your search bar type in cmd, and click enter.
Type in "msiexec /unregister" (no quotes) and press enter.
Type in "msiexec /regserver" (no quotes) and press enter.
Click on Start and in your search bar type in msconfig and open msconfig.
Click on the Services tab.
Click on Hide All by Microsoft.
Click on Disable All.
Click on the Start Up tab.
Click on Disable All.
Click OK and restart your PC.

Also, uninstall the printer software from the root level and install the full feature printer software check if it helps.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers

Update the full feature printer software using this link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/COL71120/LJM101-M106_UWL_UWL_Full_WebPack_44.1.2483.exe

Also, try creating a new user account on your PC and install the printer software.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps try reinstalling the operating system and install the printer drivers again.

You don't need any PIN.  Just run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the front panel of the printer to connect to your routers SSID with password.
