If you go to hp.com and search for your L7500 ,
you should be able to find a link...possibly documents...from which you can download a soft copy of your L7500's User Manual.

That may have what you are looking for.

Hi:

This may be useful, depending on how old you printer is.

You set the scan options using the HP Solution. Center. To access the HP Solution Center, click the Start menu, and scroll to the program listing of shortcuts above the list of folders.

Click HP Solution Center and a dialog box should open allowing you the options to specify if you want to scan a document or picture.

After clicking your selection, follow the instructions to set your parameters to scan.

Hello, 

 

Based on the problem description, i think it is a  printer issue.

You might try the below steps ...

 

  1. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  2. Also unplug any other cables / cords connected to the printer ( like USB / Ethernet/ Telephone cord )
  3. Power Off the Wireless Router if any.
  4. Wait for 3 minutes.
  5. First plug in the Power cord directly to wall outlet ( bypass the surge / power strip ) and then to the printer.
  6. If the printer does not show up the icons then you might try sliding the display up and down to check if it works.

If issue still persists, please call HP Tech Support for further assistance as the printer need to be serviced.

If you are in US , the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836 .

If you are not in US , then log on to www.hp.com , at bottom-left corner there is a world map icon, click on it and then select the region you belong to, which would then provide support options for you for that region.

Identifying Firmware Version

My HP Officejet 6500A Plus has firmware version CIP1FN1206AR installed (as detailed on the network configuration page information). The latest firmware per the website is OJ6500_E710n-z R1206A.exe dated 2012/05/09.

 

How can I determine if the installed version is the same or different from the website version?

 

My operating system is Windows 8.1

HP LaserJet 1018 installed on Mac OS X with Driver 1015 fills print queue but does not print.

Hi,

I connected an HP LaserJet 1018 via USB to my MacBook with OS X 10.9.3. I could not detect the 1018 entry in the  list of available HP printers - before and after installing an update from Apple.com: HPPrinterdriver2.16.1 dmg. I have choosen 1015 instead according to an entry in the HP printer forum. The printer was installed as 1018. I can see the printing queue being filled and emptied but the printer does not print. The status of the printer is inactive. I could already print to an HP 1320 but need the 1018 in my home office.

Does the same issue occur when making a copy from the scanner glass?

 

I would recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

I have checked the link you provided, but I didn't find Windows XP x64 on the compatible o/s list on that page. Could you please tell me if that driver "DJ2540_188.exe" will work on XP x64 PC ?

Had problems with solution center program that it could not find a ms scheduler.  Went to microsoft  got SQLServer2012-KB2793634-x86.exe and ran it.  Rebooted and ran J6400 Scrubber file from HP which got rid of everything that dealt with the printer.  I then ran the solution cetner.  Did this twice and on the second try it worked.

Thanks for getting back to me!

 

Next, I would suggest uninstalling all of the printer software on your computer, performing a clean boot and then reinstalling the OJ 7410 first and then the OJ 6500. Here are the steps and links in order for you.

 

  1. Uninstalling the Printer Software
  2. Restart the PC
  3. How to perform a clean boot in Windows
  4. Restart the PC
  5. Download and Install - HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One Printer
  6. Download and Install - HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One Printer - E709n

Hi BLKFEATHER,

 

The restore will mosty likely not achieve the results needed.  I would suggest proceeding with the reinstall.  I would also recommend utilizing the recovery discs to reinstall.

photos will not print in color on photo paper

I was out of two colors, put new ones in, cleaned and aligned the cartridges but when I put in photo paper, they only print in black.  If I copy and paste them to regular paper, it prints in color.

Hi Shlomi,

I appreciate your efforts, but still a no firmware update.

 

I did as you suggested and the following happened:

 

1. I tried your executable and it still gave me the same error, " not applicable".

2. Idid as you asked and edited the .ini file; changed the value from a 1 to 0.

3. After saving the .ini file and then trying to execute EnterpriseDU.exe, an error window immediately pops up and says, "invalid configuration file". I even tried right-clicking on the .exe file and running it as an administrator just to try....same error message.

 

The current firmware version of my printer is, "TQP1FN1322BR"

Not sure how to print the configuration page. I tried the cancel button for 5 seconds and nothing happened. I simply ran the firmware executable and the window where it say's, "not applicable" and wrote down the firmware version for you.
