Trying to install "HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver - OJP8500vA909_Full_14" on Win7

Start installing the file.  Get the following error message:

 

 

This system does not meet one or more of the minimum requirements needed to install this product.  The installation cannot continue.

 

USB Drivers             This computer does not have the necessary USB Software support to allow completion of a USB                                                        Installation.  The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.

 

USB Hardware        Required Action: Click Cancel to exit this software installation.  In order to install this device as a USB                                              device, Please refer to your computer documentation or USB add-in card documentation for more                                                    information about USB drivers.

 

 

This computer is a new Windows 7 system with plenty of USB ports so I assume that the problem is the software.  The printer is connected to the computer via a USB port and cable and will print files sent to it.  I just cannot install the Full Feature Softare package that allows me to scan documents to a jpg file, etc.

 

Would appreciate any assistance anyone can give.

Once I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and also updated the driver compatible to Microsoft 10, then the simple solution was to click, "color" instead of "black and White" on the printing page!

It finally prints in color again!

Hi,
Click the Start button and type %temp% into the search bar, then open the shown Temp folder.

Open the latest HP installation folder which begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
Open the Setup folder.
Locate the usbready.exe file and rename it into usbready.old.exe
Browse back to the main extraction folder (the folders who starts with 7z) and launch the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for any difference.

Can someone help me to regionalize-reset my HP 2050a

I bought it from Saudi Arabia and I now move to the Philippines, I've bought HP 61 cartridge(the regional equivalent of the original cartridge) but it is not compatible with my 2050a. Can someone help me to regionalize-reset it. My warranty have expired, can you still help me since I think the tech support will just tweak something into the software of the printer. Thank you very much.

For completeness I attach the image device manager. Arrow marked unit appears when you turn the printer. PC thus identifies the printer instead of the DVD / CD. Please advice about what to do in order to properly identify the PC printer! Deleting unit solves nothing.

Just want to thank everyone on this forum.  Although it took several hours, I was able to find the right answers for my Officejet 4500 and get it working.  The printer showed error or offline and would ghost print pages.  I had to reset the wireless, delete printer & driver/add again,  and delete fax that somehow was in the memory, plus lots of other reboots and check suggestions, but got it working.  Thanks to all.

Hey ,

 

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I see you are looking to get a driver to print postscript documents. Happy to help. 

Have you tried any drivers on your own?

 

Recommend you to uninstall the printer from your computer using the method below and use Windows built in driver instead. 

 

Uninstall the printer from programs and features from the control panel.

Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it.

Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top. 

Click on print server properties. 

You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there, if any.

Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.

Restart the PC.

Update the firmware on the printer using the control panel on the printer. (Will require the printer to be connected to your wireless network.)

Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box, 

Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.

It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).

If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.

Restart the PC again. 

 

Install the Windows built-in driver and check if you can print postscript documents. Click here for assistance.

HP Wireless G USB Print Server 2101nw

Hi, I have an HP 2101nw Wireless G USB Print Server.  I'm trying to install on a Windows 10 laptop.  When I run the HP software and it states 'connect print server to PC' I do this - following the instructions to the letter - connect using micro USB then power up the print server.  The laptop just doesn't recognise the print server and the 'next' box is never available, so I can't go to the next step to install it.

 

Anyone had similar problems and got it to work?

 

I know the print server is out of date so I'm not looking for suggestions of get an up-to-date print server, I'm just looking for a solution for this device and to see if anyone else has got it to work with a Windows 10 PC.

Installing without drivers for printer without cd

Hello,

 

My HP photosmart printer is several years old it is the c4585 All-in-one. I have misplaced the software cd and would like to install it on my Mac however my Safari operating system isn't listed. It lists Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.11 but my operating system is 10.01.2 even after 2 updates. What can I do?

Thanks for your response.  I think the computer is just too old to get it to work with the printer.  It never even loaded the printer.  It just gave an error message before it finished the process.

It sounds like an operating system issue on your computer, please find this third party website to resolve the issue and let me know if this fixes  issue: Click here

As I understand the printer is connected to the router/WiFi but not to you Mac OS,

Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you out:

 

To set up an HP printer on a wireless (Wi-Fi) network and a Mac computer, install the print driver and software from the HP website. When prompted during the installation, select Wireless as the connection type.

Step 1: Prepare for the connection

Connect the printer on your wireless network, get the network name and password, and then make sure that the router, printer, and computer are turned on.

 NOTE:

If you need to find your network password, go to Find Your Wireless WEP, WPA, WPA2 Password (Mac).

  1. Gather the following items:

    • Network name: The network name is the SSID (Service Set Identifier).

    • Network password: The password might also be called the WEP key or WPA security passphrase.

    • A computer connected to your wireless network

    • Internet access: HP recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL for software downloads, using Web Services, and getting printer updates.

  2. Make sure the router and computer are turned on, and that the computer is connected to the same wireless network to which you want to connect the printer. Turn on the printer and place it close to the computer and within range of the router during the setup procedure.

how can I find out what my warranty is on my HP ENVY 7640?

 

Serial Number [Personal Information Removed]

 

I am fed up spending literally HOURS trying to solve the problem of the printer not recognisiing photo paper and saying that it is out of paper etc

 

I see that this is a problem MANY others have had with this model and want to replace it
