Been a long, long while.
I've rollebladed through finland 300 kilometers and through germany 175 kilometers. been wakeboarding and speedboating .. so had lots of fun.
then I founded my own company - "klamer connect bv" - but that company needs it's tools. one of them being a printer/scanner.
So I set myself to this daunting task again.
uninstalled, scrubbed, disk cleaned, registry cleaned all HP entries, used microsoft new "fixit" , switched off firewall and windows defender and all other startup utilities...
printer and laptop are connected to a router with fixed/wired ethernet. with the webinterface i can approach the printer (and scan page by page). other computers here at home still work all printer functions.
but the installation stalls when connecting the scannerfunction.
the installation then stalls - i waited half an hour and then stopped the installer with task manager.
it popped up a log file with some technical details;
but although the software sais it can not reach the scanner, in fact I can. at first, the software also recognises the printer and i can also just type in the IP adress;
the software sends a logfile to HP and "deinstalls" itself .... but although it sais it deinstalls, everything is still on the pc. and i can print. but not through the "solution centre" and i can not scan other then through the webinterface.
the printer icon of the "equipment and printers" section of windows is the standard icon.
So now i may legitemately throw everything out of the window and get a life? pffffffffff
this has cost me another 9 hours and got not a step further. :smileymad:
