You have a few questions here and they all go in different directions. I will help you get your XP computer to connect with your printer using a USB connection so that you can then go on to wireless setup questions. XP has been known to get USB devices confused in the Device Manager. Instead of writing out all of the steps, try starting at Solution Two in the document "Windows Devices Setup Failed Over a USB Connection" and let me know what happens. I am happy to help you get the XP driver working because Microsoft 2000 is no longer supported by the website. :)
