I prefer wired. The printer has been and is on the network. Three laptops are able to print to it.
I have installed the full package of software, and tried both wired and wireless. In both cases, when it gets to the place where it tries to configure the printer, the wizard says something along the lines of can't find the printer, if you want to proceed and configure it later, click the box.
When connected via wired, the printer model name does show up in the devices section of DEVICES ande PRINTERS. I have tried to manually configure it as a local printer, but Windows can't find the driver.
