The scan button on the Deskjet F4580 is under the red X [cancel] button on the printer. This information is not stored on your computer, no need to unplug the printer, in fact, this could be completed disconnected from the computer and this alignment needs scanned in order to proceed (no way to impede it). Sorry it is giving you such a hard time.
Are you saying that now that you have scanned the alignment page using the button I have displayed, every time you print a photo the printer tries to align?
I am more than happy to assist you with getting this printer working for you again. Answer that question for me if you press the scan button to align the page and your issue persists.
