Was looking for a way to delete this post since it's probably a pretty silly question to ask but? It is a bit confusing that I keep seeing so many threads indicating the drivers for the OfficeJet 4215 are already present in Windows 7 & Simply connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable, and Windows Update automatically installs the driver for your product.
The FAQ indicate - The basic driver in Windows 7 is enough for scanning documents, faxing from a printed page, printing from a software program, and importing and viewing images on a memory card.
Why then did HP provide an Officejet 4200 Full Feature Suite for Windows 7 (Vista & Win 8 too)? Checking the ink level is nice & perhaps something that's only avail in the full feature suite?
Does the Full Feature Suite dated 4/25/2011 contain the most current drivers or is allowing Windows Update to get them a better option?
thanks
