Thanks for the reply. After posting I did some more work on this problem. I printed a Status Report which showed version number MGP1CN1347AR. I then discovered that I could do firmware update directly from the printer's control panel window. I did that, printed another Status Report which shows firmware version to be MGP1CN1351AR. It is confusing that you get one version number on the Status Report, and then when you check the firmware file name on the hp website, the file name bears no resemblance to the Status Report version number.
