I would like to help you get the HP Printer Assistant working. Please use the instructions below.
- Right-click or tap and hold the bottom right of the screen, and then click or tap Run .
- In the Run dialog box, type regedit , and then click or tap OK . The Registry Editor window opens.
- Click or tap File , and then click or tap Export . The Export Registry File window opens.
- From the Save in: dropdown menu, select Desktop .
- In the File name: box, type backup .
- In the Save as type: dropdown menu, select Registration Files (*.reg) .
- For Export range , select All , and then click or tap Save .NOTE:You can delete this file once the issue has been resolved.
- Click here to download the automated patch that fixes the issue.
- Click or tap Run , and then follow the instructions to install the patch.

Although the issue may not be as the title describes, the patch could resolve the symptom you are experiencing.
