To Print in Grayscale for one print job.
In the software program you are trying to print from, click File , and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
Select your product, and then click Properties . The printer Properties dialog box opens.
Click the Paper/Quality tab.
From the Media drop-down, select the paper type that matches the paper loaded.
Click the Advanced tab. The Advanced Options dialog box opens.
Review the following options, and then make any necessary changes.
Paper/Output : Make sure that the selected option matches your paper size. For example, for legal paper, select Legal 8.5x14in .
Document Options : Make sure that Print in Grayscale is set to On , for printing in Grayscale intentionally.
Click OK , and then click OK again to apply the settings.
Click OK from the Print dialog box to start the print job.
To set this as your default print style you need to go to Control Panel then Printers and Preferences then right click on your printer and choose Printer Preferences and then follow the above steps .
