Re: LaserJet 1000 Printer Compatibility Windows 8

While I understand the LaserJet 1000 wasn't supported in Windows 8 the HP support site says it is supported in 8.1 - the following was copied from the support web site .....

       HP Color LaserJet 8550 Printer series

• HP LaserJet 1000, 1010, and 1012 Printers

  NOTE: These printers are only supported in Windows 8.1 and are NOT supported in Windows 8.

• HP LaserJet 1015 Printer

   

  However - when I run Windows update on the Add Printer wizard I do not see the 1000, 1010 or 1012 printer driver as being available.  The first to show is the 1015.

   

  Is there another source other than Windows Update through which I can grab the driver supporting the LaserJet 1000?
