Hello,
Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you are having issues with your printer. I will do my best to assist you with this issue!
Going through your post I am not very sure what the operating system on your PC is. It is necessary to know the operating system, to provide you with the specific steps. Hence, please do let me know the same.
Alternatively, if you are using the Windows OS, first try to fix this issue using HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR). PSDR is an automated tool which can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Please go to http://hp.care/2bZ9w2q to download and run HP PSDR. Once you open the program, select your printer and click on “Fix Printing” to automatically diagnose and fix the issue.
If your PC is running the MAC OS, then try the steps here:
- Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
- Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
- Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
- Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
- Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
- Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
- Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
- Click the “Add button” (+).
- Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
- Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance reply with the operating system details.
Have a great day
