Hi @gussie04,
Thank you for the response:
Confirm ADF Supports Legal Size
First, a quick note: the HP OfficeJet 4630 does support legal size through the ADF — so you’re good there!
Check ADF Paper Guides & Loading
Make sure to extend the paper input tray on the ADF fully to accommodate legal-size (8.5 x 14 inches).
Load your legal-size document face up (top edge going in first).
Adjust the paper width guides tightly against the document without bending it.
Don’t overload, ADF supports about 35 sheets max.
Set Scan/Copy/Print Settings Correctly
Whether you’re copying or scanning to print:
On the printer display, choose:
Copy Document or Scan to Computer
Then go to Settings or Paper Size
Select Legal as the paper size.
On your computer (if printing a scan or saved doc):
In the Print Settings or Printer Preferences, make sure:
Paper Size = Legal (8.5 x 14 in)
Page Scaling = None or Fit to Page
Source = ADF (if available)
Try HP Smart App (Alternate Scan Method)
If the printer’s native ADF setting isn’t letting you select Legal:
Open the HP Smart app on your PC
Select Scan > Document Feeder > Paper Size: Legal
Save the scan and print it from there with paper size set to Legal
I hope this helps.
