I have uninstalled and re-installed (and tried clean boots, different cables, indeed all the suggestions, etc), several times with no luck. I have also tried installing the driver and printer on a different *computer* altogether and got the same results - "Unkown Device".
The problem is not on the computer or in the driver software -- it's in the printer.
