I, too, am having trouble after the cp1025nw firmware update. Update install was successful but then the printer wouldn't print -- no error message - just ignored the print job. Each attempt to uninstall and reinstall fails - -continual message to reboot. I deleted the HP folder and cleaned the Registry, but did not clean out /system32 of HP printer files, as you mentioned you did. I will try that now and then try another install, but from the original CD. My fear: the firmware can't be undone in the printer and only HP can fix it with a patch.
