I still dont know exactly what you ment by "the icon does not work" - wich icon? the printer one in "printers" of device management?
As said, i think currently the more simple microsoft driver is active and yes, I can print, also over the network. however the suite says the printer is not there.
OK i have limited time this week and next week I'll be outside the country (rollerblading 350 km in finland... ) so I doubt If i have time to do this trial. I also considered to set my laptop back in factory settings, but there are many personal settings and roughly 25 other programs that i need to reinstall then - it will take me a whole day....
Question; if i try the step to again scrub and reinstall, wich way of connection do you suggest? and when to connect?
maybe first install the suite, and only after that tell the suite that the printer is on the network?
It's not very sientific, but i have this idea that windows is too active installing it's own drivers, that get in the way of the HP ones?
