Hi HevnlghHelP
Yes I ran the Hp print and scan doctor which gave the set up a clean bill of health.
Also ran the HP installation wizard which reported I had the correct driver installed and no anomalies.
I might add this is not my PC but a customer install of windows 8.1 from scratch. All ok until the printer test.
Oddly though after initial install following the installation prompts I was able to print the HP test page.
However is this machine generated as opposed to a windows test print. Also from a word document, word seems to think that there is no default printer even though it is the only printer and set to default.
This led me to think that the driver was corrupt hence the removal and reinstall.
Lastly I should point out that the windows 8.1 Pro 32bit has had the spring upgrade.
Is there a possiblity in the MS upgrade that the driver is now not compatable?
