Hi david29464,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I see that you are having some issues when attempting to print from your computer.  Typically when the printer is none responsive or very delayed, it can be caused by a power issue or a firewall/ antivirus blocking the line of comunication.

I suggest that we start with the power issue.  If you have the printer power cable connected to a bar/strip, please remove it and plug the power cable direct to a wall outlet. Once it is in the wall outlet, power cycle the printer properly with the on/off button and then attempt a test print.  Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.  Please note that in the document it uses a LaserJet printer as an Example but it is meant for HP products in general.

If this does not resolve the issue, I would then move on to the firewall/antivirus protection.  Please disable these items and then attempt to print. If the issue is resolved then adjust the settings to let the computer communicate with the printer.

Please let me know if you require any additional assistance and I will be happy to help.

Thanks for your time.
