I agree with you... reading all the posts from people who are having problems with software installation... surely someone at HP can resolve this. Don't reinstall windows, because it won't fix the problem. Did it and got the same error messages as before. This is a problem that HP needs to fix... sadly they aren't making much progress... guess they think we'll buy another HP printer... but as you've seen from my posts, I have several other HP printers that work just fine with Windows 7 (and 8 I might add). There is NO reason why the C4280 printer won't work.
