After some uninstall-reinstall and refreshing my windows 7 desk top, and reinstalling back up through Toshiba external hard drive, it failed. But everything was successful after only one try on my ASUS lap top with windows 8. I therefore conclude it's not HP or it's software but my Acer Aspire desktop!!!!!!!!!!! But all was working fine some ten days ago and back for two years. Mean time every thing else works on the Acer desk top - except it does not accept the HP drivers; fails every time. Note the history of updates were 100% successful op to the 4/4/2014. From that point 95% updates failed.
Can't make a restore point at or before 4/4/2014 caus the drop down selection list is too full.
So this is well and truely beyond my IT skills. Please help. Rolfus
