So my printer maybe be experiencing a failure within the mechanics or programming just because of an HP Update with the printer powered off??!
I'm pretty sure you're aware AlwaysNeon that we update all our devices for better performance and if this is the only thing that's gonna happen if we do that then why bother doing it??!
They should have at least told us on the first screen of the HP Update that the printer should be 'powered on' since it will be updating the device drivers inside it and that there is no job on the queue.
I've joined this forum to notify HP about this shameful failure regarding their device updates and I hope that it will reach them in time before I loose confidence in patronizing their printers.
PS
...8 years ago we already had an HP printer here at home and it broke in the wear and tear process (a plastic part broke off maybe the back panel perhaps on where we feed photo papers i think...)
This made me say that HP printers are of quality and I'm still hoping that HP would do something about this to resolve the issue.
Thank you.
