I hvae a Officejet 8600Plus and I'm running Windows 7. Last night my desktop printer assistant disappeared. I've tried running some of the suggested fixes I've seen here (regedit/notepad) but with no success. I tried looking in my programs settings and original cd for an icon or something to re-install on my desktop but nothing. And print documentation doesn't even mention the assistant. Is there something downloadable from HP? I can't find anything. Thank you for any help.
