A number of times now I have attempted Uninstall of my 5610 printer and each time it looks as though everything got removed successfully (done the Uninstall using my original printer install CD, HP website & Control Panel Add/Remove).
Each time then followed up with a clean install & everything look fine except the printer Solution Centre window is completely blank and the printer doesn't work at all.
After a huge struggle I can define the problem as follows.... after a "successful" UNINSTALL I found that if:
- I go to Windows Start menu and then Programs list, there is no indication of any HP 5610 software other than HP IMAGE ZONE EXPRESS & HP Software Tour. When I click through to S/W tour just get a blank screen but the Image Zone appears to be working ok.
- Go to Control Panel and list all programs through Add/Remove - all HP printer related programs including the 5610 printer drivers appear to be present despite previous successful uninstall. When try to REMOVE here the window blinks but then nothing happens. All entries are still present.
Have tried to use a Registry software (CCleaner) to deal with any orphan registry entries and then tried uninstall again. Pointless!
Have tried restoring my PC from a number of what I thought were clean restore points but no help at all. The problem persists.
Unfortunatelt don't have access to any corporate IT guys & have exhausted friends knowledge base.
Any HELP will be gratefully received.
