Thank you for explaining the firmware issue. That's at least one less thing to worry about.
I did try restarting the computer, and it did not help.
The printer is able to see the wireless network (correct SSID appears on list, it detects the correct security mode and prompts me for the wireless key) then it says connecting, but tells me the connection has failed.
Yes, I meant power cycle when I said unplugged the router and printer, and yes I tried following the wireless path after removing the Hp software and reinstalling it.
I am unable to try it at the moment, but if I did a reset on the router do you think that might help? I could do that late this afternoon. (It's 8:30 AM here)
