Hi dawn12789,
Are the large prints only occurring form Microsoft Word 2007? I understand the margins differ from the print output to the print preview, again I wonder if this is only an issue when you print from Microsoft programs.
If you can print find from other programs, I would believe the issue is limited to Microsoft and can try to help you find a solution. If the issue occurs when you print from all programs it could be the print driver causing the issue.
I suggest you try the HP Print and Scan Doctor. The HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that helps to quickly resolve common printing, scanning and connectivity issues. HP recommends that you run the tool whenever you need to troubleshoot an issue.
The Print and Scan Doctor diagnoses and helps resolve common printing, scanning, and connectivity problems, including:

- Driver Check : Checks for missing or corrupt driver files.
- Device Manager : Checks for problems in Device Manager that would prevent printing.
- Device Online : Checks if the product has been paused or set to offline, and then sets the status back to online if necessary.
