I have lost the ability to scan using my HP 8600
When I access the printer, the printer selection page pops up as usual and in the past, selecting the printer name resulted in a page opening that allowed me to select several options including scan. That page does not appear now upon selecting the printer.
I tried re-installing the capacity to scan by running "setup" from the CD that came with the printer, but nothing changes. I'm afraid to uninstall since the warranty is expired. I do at least want to print,..which it still does.
I believe something was affected by turning over control to Adobe techs during my trouble with Premier Pro installation. One of the things they did was find a "host" file and rename it to allow the upgrade install to take place and replace the trial version.
HP 8600 scanning worked fine before that.
