So THAT's where they put the windows update button for printer drivers!
I went through your steps and they worked PERFECTLY, except when I found the correct driver (yay) then cancelled. When I went back to install the printer using the Add Printer, it still said that it could not locate a driver.
I went through the steps again and this time I
*chose my driver
*clicked Next
*installed a "printer"
When that process was complete, I went back and used Add Printer again, selected my actual (network-not local) printer, it finally found the driver!
Then I removed the faux printer from the Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings that was "installed".
It works!!!! Whew! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
