Rather than searching for manufacturer-supplied drivers (which may not be available for this model), you need to update the list of printers with Microsoft-supplied drivers on your system.
Easiest way to do this is (as I hinted at with my previous reference to the Add Printer dialogue) is:
- Select Control Panel
- Select Devices and Printers
- Click Add Printer
- Click The printer that I want is not listed to abort the automatic search.
- A new dialogue will be presented, indicating Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings; click Next.
- On the new dialogue, select the FILE: (Print to file) port from the drop-down list; click Next.
- The new dialogue will show the current list of manufacturers and drivers supported on your system.
- Click the Windows Update button on this dialogue, and wait (perhaps several minutes) for additional/new drivers to be downloaded, and the list repopulated.
- Check that the updated list now includes drivers for your printer model.
- Click the Cancel button to abort the Add Printer dialogue.
- Now try to install the required driver for your printer, as per your normal mechanism.
