I have been using HP solutions center software to scan documents for almost 6 years and I now when I click on that software icon, I get the message "No HP devices have been detected. HP solution center will close now"
I really liked using that software especially to send email attachments with multiple scans in pdf format. I have found a work around solution by using the generic scan software found in Windows and I can still scan but my options are limited. Please can you help me to find a way to get that great HP software to run again?
I already have the HP print and scan doctor utility and I can get the HP software to run using that program in a limited way but withou the PDF option for scanning. I have tried the original instalation disc that came with the deskjet F380 and I have tried to uninstal all the HP all in one software and reinstalled from the disc and from the HP website and I still get that stupid message.
Before doing all this I did get a different error message about my computer not being able to communicate with the scanner. But after the uninstal and reinstall, I get that different message shown above.
I am using Windows XP Professional. The printer has worked fine through all this and the problem has only been with the scanner and only with the HP software.
