I have a PC running Windows 8, 64 Bit and an HP Photosmart All-in-One B109n-z printer. It worked just fine with my previous PC which had Windows 7 but after much frustration I cannot seem to get it working with the newer PC. I have downloaded the driver from the HP website and it shows up in the list of drivers. When I select it the following message appears:
Installing this device driver is not recommended because Windows
cannot verify that it is compatible with your hardware. If the driver is
not compatible your hardware will not work correctly and your
computer might become unstable or stop working completely. Do you want
to continue installing this driver?
Assuming that the HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z Class Driver is the correct one then is there another problem I am missing?
I have disconnected the printer, uninstalled it then re-connected and installed it again. I am also using a USB cable as I did with Windows 7.
