Why doesn't the hp officejet software remain functional on my windows vista pc? I have to scan doctor(which is down by the way) or perform reinstalls of the software just to get any of the non-print fax via direct connect functions to work. I have given up on the whole network options aspect(which was why I purchased it in the first place), because it won't print from any of my pcs though my network is obviously up and the printer has the proper information in all of the proper places. I am really tired of the failures, inconsistency and non-user friendly access and the barriers with doing simple tasks that it is presenting for my family. All of the features tested fine with the first install, but it has not been fully functional since(6 months ago). Looking at the blogs, it appears that there are many consumers who have and are experiencing similar issues. What is the real solution to restoring the full functionality of this device and why does it not allow Vista to retain access to the drivers?
