- I would try the CD if you still have it, if not it may be something with his validation of windows. There are specific files in Windows that allow 3rd party software to validate the versioning. That may have an issue and could be why this is throwing up the error.
- You can try a system restore with the PC. Here is a document showing you how to do so. Make sure and back everything up that you want to save or have installed lately.
- If neither of the steps works, I would suggest calling HP @8004746836 and see what options they have replace or repair the printer.
