It does not go away and I don't know why you would assume that!  It has a service running which can't even be killed in Task Manager or by turning off all HP listings in msconfig>Startup and >Services. 

 

So like Avast we have a hijacker gadget that poor software has larded into our installs which we cannot get rid of, and didn't even see a choice to select. 

 

Where is the preference choice for this crapware?
