I have same problem. Windows 7, p1102w, recently changed wifi router, printer won't connect to new router so I reset printer to default, still won't connect. I removed printer drivers from Win 7. When I connect printer via USB, the drivers auto-install and I get a working USB printer, but printer config still shows IP = 0.0.0.0. That's not what I want. I nver get the "smart install" or have an option to select wireless settings. I've been at this all weekend, tried everything.
I like hp hardware but I find the software, support, and documentation to be extremely poor. I think I'm throwing this thing in the trash soon, and it's a perfectly functional laserprinter. Now its a boat anchor.
