I understand your concerns. It seems like your printer software has a conflict. Please follow these steps to try and resolve your issue:
Please uninstall your software from the Control Panel of your computer. I will provide an HP document here, to help perform these steps.
Next, clean your Temp Folder on your computer. I will provide a YouTube video on performing this step here.
Before installing the software onto your computer, please follow this HP document on Using Microsoft System Configuration.Only perform Figure 2, Figure 3 and figure 4, but exclude number 5 in this document. Do not perform any further steps.
Now, install the full feature software from the CD or from the HP website here. Please choose your correct operating system; either 32 bit or 64 bit.
Afterward, perform step 5 in the "Using Microsoft System Configuration" document. This will enable the normal start up.
