Try installing the following patch, reboot your PC and check for any difference:

If that doesn't help try installing this patch as well:

Regardless, ensure the harware is unctioning by creating a copy from the device itself, if that works and any of the patches above does not help, try replacing the USB cable.. as well ensure it is not longer than 2 meters long and directly connected to your PC (And not through any extensions or USB hub.)
