yes i knew the story. we often need to get reminded to what's important...
nowhere in my device manager any faulty or missing equipment is seen. again; the basic printer functions work.
just the scanner is only "seen" / "recognised" on USB - not on the network.
my router is the netgear WGR614v9
Firmware VersionV1.2.30_41.0.44
remember; this router works for other computers and has worked on them installing the full suite on windows xp and windows 7!!
will it be wise to install the full suite with the printer off/ detached and define the connection later - or maybe with USB first and define connection later?
as to rule out wich connection works and build up that way?
