I don't think that this patch will address my problem. I am not receiving any error messages. The program simply doesn't launch.
I uninstalled the driver software and then downloaded again and installed again. Still, no launch.
I traced the path and went to the HP folder and double clicked on the application and it doesn't launch.
Other applications in the same folder work.
Is is possible that there is a bug in the downloaded software? I downloaded the Full Feature software for the 6500A Plus All-in-One Printer for Windows 8 (64 bit)
I have the same software on a Win Vista PC that was installed from a CD. It works fine and the path is identical.
This downloaded software was working fine before my system refresh. It was downloaded a year ago.
