Re: HP Photosmart Desktop Software Will Not Run

I understand that the desktop icon, to open the printer/scanner control software, is no longer working. I can help you with this issue.

Try the following steps and let me know if this resolves the issue.

1. Touch the Windows flag to get the Start/Tile screen
2. Without clicking on anything, start typing 'Computer'
3. Open the C drive > Program Files x86 > HP
4. In the HP folder, locate and open HP 7520 folder
5. Open the Bin folder
6. Right click on HPScan and click on 'Pin to Start'
7. Close the open windows
8. Touch the Windows flag again to return to the Start screen
9. If you do not see the HPScan start typing 'HPScan' (No spaces)
10. Open the HP Scan software.
